PROPOSED PRO-POOR POLICIES FOR 2020 MANIFESTO-FROM A CONCERN CITIZEN OF GHANA FOR FREE

Another election year has come and politicians will bombard us with manifesto promises.
In my opinion, not a dictionary definition; a manifesto can be a document that contains an identified pressing needs and aspirations of the people, and the means of satisfying these pressing needs and aspirations
My proposed PRO-POOR POLICIES hinges on only three pillars, namely:
(A) SOCIAL SATISFACTION
(B) EDUCATION & SPORTS
(C) FOOD FOR ENERGY, INCOME AND JOB
This document only gives the highlights, bearing in mind that The proof of the pudding is in the eating😃
(A) SOCIAL SATISFACTION
Under this pillar are societal inter-related needs and aspirations including peace, security, health,employment, standard of living, tourism, economy, energy,etc.
Proposed PRO-POOR POLICIES under SOCIAL SATISFACTION include:
1.Seting up vigorous community water projects
2. Putting up community toilet facilities
3. Initiating Operation Clean your community to deal with insanitary conditions
4. Making Land Tenure policy to deal with land litigations
5. Building a retirement home in each district to take care of aged people who don't have caretakers
6. Giving monthly allowance to poor and unemployed aged people eg over 55 years
7. Giving a modern facelift to all tourists attraction sites to create employment and increase state revenue
8. Partnering the private sector to transform and utilize solar energy
9. Relocating all prison centres to hinterlands and building prison centres in each district
10. Extending Distant Learning to prison inmates for those who are academically good to acquire employable certificate
11. Extending Vocational Studies or Training to prison inmates who are not academically good
12.. Giving soft loans to outgoing prison inmates who acquire Vocational Training to set up their own businesses, monitor them, and give them counselling
12. Assigning one psychologist to each prison centre
13. Resuscitating and injecting money into all collapsed local banks and factories
14. Making bribery and corruption unattractive by retrieving stollen money or property plus interest, confiscating assets and jailing the culprit
15. Promoting volunteerism among the youth.
16. Building Community Centres in each community where funerals, weddings, parties, etc can take place
17. Initiating vigorous electrification projects in rural areas and street lights project in each community
18. Setting up secret cameras in public places
19. Banning public smoking
20. Banning importation and use of white sweet tasty Maggi
21. Removing lunatics from the street and building a lunatic camp to keep them
22. Initiating see your doctor each month policy for free for all citizens
23. Setting up offices in each district where job seekers and upcoming businessmen and women can go there for free business consultation
24. Putting up mobile clinic in each community which should move from place to place daily
25. Setting up Community Task Force involving local people, and paying them with allowances, in order to deal with armed-robbery incidence

Second Pillar: Proposed Pro-Poor policies For 2020 Manifesto
(B) EDUCATION & SPORTS
1. State sponsored partnership with banks to give soft building loans to teachers to put up their own buildings
2. Giving an unannounced financial teacher motivation called cola to teachers every three months to motivate them
3. Abolishing the existing "no pass in English, Mathematics and Science, no progression to Tertially Institution Syndrome
4. Giving financial support to public workers who go for Distant Learning whilst on the job
5. Building a strong educational foundation at primary school level, by abolishing the existing classroom teaching system and replacing it with subject teaching system such that each subject is placed in the hand of specialised teacher
6. Reintroducing Agricultural Science as subject on its own from primary school to Tertiary level
7. Making bribery and corruption a major component of Social Studies subject
8. Building one modern Sports Complex building for both indoor and outdoor sporting activities in each district
9. Building at least two modern Library facilities in each district at strategic positions to facilitate learning and research work
10. Extending Distance Learning Programme and Vocational Training or Studies to prison inmates (as stated under Social Satisfaction) to help them acquire employable certificate
Third Pillar: Proposed Pro-Poor Policies for 2020 Manifesto
(C) FOOD FOR ENERGY, INCOME AND JOBS
1. Setting up Free Farming Consultancy Office in each district for free consultation by farmers
2. Setting up at least two Fish Factories in coastal areas
3. Setting up at least two Fruits & Vegetable Factories in fruits and vegetables growing areas
4. Setting up at least two Jewellery Factories in mining areas
5. Setting up at least two Cocoa Processing Factories in Cocoa growing areas to transform cocoa beans into finished products
6. Setting up at least two Wood Processing Factories in Forest areas to process timber logs
7. Setting up at least two Shea Butter Factories in Savana Zones
8. Setting up at least two Groundnut Processing Factories to transform Groundnut into butter
9. Setting up at least two Cotton Processing Factories in cotton growing areas
10. Setting up at least two Palm Oil Factories in oil Palm growing areas
11. Setting up at least two Coffee Processing Factories in coffee growing areas
12. Introducing Operation buy surplus food stuffs and perishable goods from Farmers by the state and store for future, - The Biblical Joseph Method
13. Formation of Co-operatives at district, regional and national levels such as:
(A) Famers Co-operatives egs
I) Cocoa Farmers Co-operatives
Ii) Cashew Growers Co-operatives
III) Vegetable Growers Co+operatives
IV) Fruits Growers Co-operatives
V) Fish Farming Co-operatives
Vi) Livestock Farming Co-,operatives
Vii) Poultry Farmers Co-operative
Viii) Cotton Growers Co-operative
IX,) Rice Growers Co-operatives
X) Yam Growers Co-operatives
XI) Coffee Growers Co-operatives
XII) Oil Palm Growers Co-operatives
Etc
(B) Farm Labourers/Workers Co-operatives
C) Fishermen/Fish Mongers Co-operatives etc
The purpose of the above Co-operatives is to facilitate:
*sharing of ideas,
*exchange programmes
*acquisition of bank loans
*putting up a united front
*acquisition of aids
14. Setting up at least one Afforestation and Re-afforestation office in each district to employ people to plant trees in degraded areas as a result of galamsey operations and also plant trees in areas where deserfication is taking place
15. Using prison inmates who will be relocated to hinterlands as farm hands to engage in farming activities and grow food for themselves and for the nation. Through this, they can also learn about farming methods for themselves
16. Partnering with private sector to help farmers with irrigation projects during the dry season.
